In order to learn to make responsible choices our students have the freedom to learn in a school dedicated to high academic standards and to involve themselves in the community both utilizing its resources and serving its people.Job Description:Job Title: Math TeacherFLSA Classification: ExemptResponsible to: Head of SchoolLast Revised: April 2022Position Summary: Notre Dame Academy is seeking a PreCalc/Calculus Math teacher for theschool year. Preferred candidates will ideally have at least 35 years of teaching experience. He or she is an enthusiastic individual who has demonstrated a passion for math and for learnercentered teaching practices that builds interest in enthusiasm for and mastery of that subject. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as Math Teacher for high school. Prepare course materials such as syllabi homework assignments and handouts.Maintain student attendance records grades and other required records.Evaluate and grade students class work assignments and papers.Plan evaluate and revise curricula course content and course materials and methods of instruction.Offer office hours in order to advise and assist studentsParticipate in school evaluation and professional development programsAdvise students on academic and other matters in accordance with the Schools missionParticipate in some infrequent evening or weekend activities including meetings professional development or extracurricular afterschool activities/advisingOther duties as assigned
