Piedmont Virginia Community College PVCC is a nonresidential twoyear institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle Buckingham Fluvanna Greene Louisa and Nelson. Our scenic campus is located in Albemarle County Virginia. We are one of 23 community colleges in Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System VCCS . PVCC is nationally recognized for its outstanding transfer curriculum; its relationship with its neighbor the University of Virginia; and its Workforce Development Programs serving local employers. Applications will be received and considered on a continuous basis as openings occur. Piedmont Virginia Community College is seeking an innovative and collaborative individual to join the faculty as an adjunct instructor for the Pharmacy Technician Program. Appointment Date: March 4th 2025. The successful candidate will teach a maximum of 12 credits per semester (fall/spring) which could include day evening and weekend offcampus or distance education courses . Approximate salary range for adjunct faculty: $823$1007/credit depending on education and experience. PVCC desires applicants with a commitment to the community college mission; teaching learning and student success; integration of learning outcomes assessment into course development and teaching; use of current and emerging technologies to enhance instruction; and other responsibilities that contribute to the progress of the college. The candidate must be a nationally certified pharmacy technician with at least five years of experience performing technician tasks and hold a current unrestricted registration in Virginia or a pharmacist with a current and unrestricted license. The successful candidate must have previous experience in a pharmacy setting. The successful candidate also must possess expertlevel skills and abilities necessary to train future pharmacy technicians. Must also possess knowledge of local and regional healthcare facilities and systems. Must be very detailoriented and have the ability to meet set deadlines. All adjunct faculty positions require excellent oral written and interpersonal communication skills the ability to write syllabi and exams the ability to develop learning strategies curriculum and assessments and the ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.

Work Schedule
Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a coursebycourse semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or collegelevel courses which may include distancelearning courses during the day and evening on weekdays and weekends. Primarily facetoface with the possibility of remote instruction.
