Job Description
Position: General Helper
Unit: Ascot in Stewart BC
Point of Hire Location: Terrace BC
Rotation: 14 days in / 7 days out
Wage: $19.00 per hour
- Cleans and maintains dining room area including shelves and floors.
- Cleans and sets dining room tables and fills beverage salt sugar and other condimentcontainers.
- Cleans and maintains supplies for steam and salad tables such as dishes and utensils.
- Prepares coffee and cold beverages and may be required to work on steam tables from time to time.
- Serving guests on the main buffet lines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
- Participates in regular safety meetings safety training and hazard assessments.
- Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Must have experience as a Mess Hall Attendant in a larger construction camp or institutional setting.
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.
- Must have good attendance record.
- Must have good disciplinary record.
- May be required to work shifts including split shifts Days & Nights
- High School Diploma an asset but not required.
- Must have food safety certificate.
- Personal and professional integrity appearance and demeanor.
