Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technician 5 Facilities Maintenance to join our team in Fremont United States. In this seniorlevel position you will be responsible for overseeing and performing complex maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of our facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repair of HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical systems
  • Implement and manage preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Analyze and optimize building automation systems for energy efficiency and comfort
  • Interpret complex blueprints technical manuals and specifications for maintenance and repair projects
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders inventory and maintenance schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes safety regulations and industry standards
  • Mentor and train junior technicians on best practices and advanced maintenance techniques
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks
  • Participate in energy management initiatives and sustainability projects
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed including afterhours and weekend calls

Qualifications :

Required:

  • Associates degree in Facilities Management Engineering Technology or related field
  • 57 years of experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on complex systems
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems including troubleshooting and repair
  • Proficiency in electrical plumbing and mechanical systems maintenance
  • Strong familiarity with building automation systems and energy management practices
  • EPA Universal Certification HVAC Certification and Electrical Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of building codes safety regulations and industry best practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to respond to afterhours emergencies and work flexible schedules when required
