Job Description

The Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance Manager with implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for the Ontario Line South project. This role ensures compliance with project specifications contractual requirements and industry standards including ISO 9001:2015. The position involves conducting audits managing nonconformances supporting construction teams in qualityrelated matters coordinating daily tasks for the QA team and driving continuous improvement across project operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal and external audits ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures while managing the closure of findings and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Identify and manage nonconformances ensuring timely resolution root cause analysis corrective action implementation and assessment of effectiveness.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality policies procedures and best practices.
  • Assist with maintenance of quality documentation ensuring proper recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Monitor and report on quality performance metrics identifying areas for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the project team.

Qualifications :

 

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management within heavy civil infrastructure projects.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent training.
  • Strong understanding of quality control and assurance principles including process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
  • Experience managing quality documentation audits and nonconformance reports.
  • Excellent problemsolving analytical and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in quality management and document control software.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
