ICA Technician

NORWICH

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for aICA Technician to join the team at Lintott a Galliford Try business.

  • Equipment Replacement: Replacing endoflife or nonsupported equipment and hardware including Telemetry RTU and their communications PLC HMI SCADA and control systems.
  • Fault Diagnosis: Identifying and resolving technical issues with instrumentation control and automation equipment using troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools.
  • Testing and Configuration: Ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and is properly configured to meet operational requirements.
  • Installation and Repair: Installing modifying and repairing equipment in a safe and efficient manner following industry best practices and safety guidelines.
  • Compliance: Adhering to industry standards and regulations such as Health and Safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Electrical Drawings: Reading and modifying electrical drawings to understand and implement technical specifications.

About You:

  • A strong technical background with experience in instrumentation control and automation systems including PLC programming and SCADA systems.
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • A commitment to safety and quality with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve project objectives.
  • Ability to read understand and modify electrical drawings to implement technical specifications.
  • Providing specialist technical advice where appropriate with uptodate technical knowledge and provide training support for technical trainees.

Experience:

  • An industry applicable ONC or City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience of working within the water and / or sewage industries on SEMD frameworks
  • Relevant H&S qualifications (IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management A relevant CSCS card and First Aid training)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Blue Water hygiene card
  • Knowledge of PLC software packages would be a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of Telemetry systems would also be a distinct advantage.
