Profile of a Natick Educator

JOB GOAL:

The Coordinator of Data & Student Success collaborates with educators and district and school administration to coach teams in using data to inform instruction in order to close achievement gaps and implement a coherent MTSS system to improve student outcomes. This role supports datadriven decisionmaking curriculum alignment and professional development to improve student outcomes and close achievement gaps.






QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors degree in education or related field (Masters preferred).

Professional Certification: Experience in instructional coaching curriculum design and data analysis.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in data analysis and datadriven instruction pedagogical practices Learning Walks coaching

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Google Suite (Drive Docs Sheets Slides Classroom etc. and PowerSchool preferred but will train the right candidate.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
  • Bilingual skills especially in Spanish and Portuguese are highly desirable
  • Candidates should have a passion for working with students families and colleagues
  • Candidates must be flexible and collaborative
  • Candidates must be able to multitask in a fastpaced supportive environment that nurtures student growth
  • Candidates must be organized and able to meet ongoing timesensitive deadlines for work production

Alternative degrees/experience may be substituted for the above at the discretion of the Superintendent if such a substitution brings a strong candidate forward.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB (not limited to)

  • Data & Instructional Support:
    • Assist in developing and implementing a schoolwide Data into Action plan aligned with district goals.
    • Facilitate the analysis of student data to identify instructional needs and researchbased strategies for closing achievement gaps across the district.
    • Create and maintain dashboards trackers and data visualizations to inform instruction.
    • Support teachers in using data for progress monitoring and intervention planning.
    • Assess and analyze student services data in the following areas but not limited to disability types evaluation case management student achievement instructional models and other student services areas.
  • Curriculum & Professional Development:
    • Collaborate with administrators and teachers to review and develop curriculum components including assessments.
    • Provide jobembedded coaching modeling and professional development on datadriven instruction.
    • Assist teachers in integrating technology instructional strategies and assessment tools.
    • Facilitate personalized learning approaches including UDL SEL and PBL.
  • Collaboration & School Improvement:
    • Work with Curriculum Directors Building Administrators and teacher teams to identify trends in the data to inform instructional needs guide curriculum decisions and develop targeted strategies to support student learning and achievement.
    • Support the implementation of technology and innovative teaching strategies.
    • Participate in school improvement planning strategic initiatives and professional learning communities.
    • Gather stakeholder feedback and visit districts implementing best practices.
    • Attend periodic coordinator meetings to assist and train the student services leadership team in data collection and assessment practices to best inform student services programming instructional practices and efficient case management.
    • Work closely with Director of Student Services Director of Counseling and SEL Assistant Director of ML and Director of Curriculum and Instruction to implement a coherent MTSS system to improve student outcomes

Any other relative duties as assigned.

  • operate a computer and other school/office productivity machinery (i.e. iPad copy machine computer printer assistive technology etc.;
  • read material from a computer monitor as well as handwritten or printed matter with or without visual aids;
  • position oneself to maintain files and access school/classroom/office materials;
  • communicate with others so that information received and given is understood and accurately communicated;
  • communicate and collaborate effectively with students parents and other staff members in person via video conference on the telephone and/or in writing;
  • observe details at close range
  • in the school setting ensure the safety of students;
  • multitask and meet multiple demands from several people;
  • may need to teach and support students with life skills development such as eating cleaning and toileting
  • lifting up to and including 25 lbs
  • the noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
