Basic Job Functions:

SUMMARY:

The Powder Coat Painter is responsible for determining the acceptable condition of parts and quality level required under the direction of the Manufacturing Coordinator Lead and Operations Manager. The Painter in responsible for the application of powder paint using electrostatic spray guns to various Rytec door parts and components. Additional responsibilities include helping to prep and correctly hang all required industrial door parts onto a conveyor line system using the appropriate hangers. They may also have to assist in the removal of the parts once fully cured. Finished painted parts will then be staged onto the proper carts according to each door number which will then feed into the final assembly stations.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of powder coat paint line experience.
  • Must be able to pass general respirator medical evaluation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to bend twist squat throughout work day.
  • Minimum 1 year of powder coat paint line experience.
  • Must be selfmotivated and a team player.
  • Persistent upbeat positive high energy and thrives in a dynamic atmosphere of change
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
