Job Duties:
Unique opportunity to join the Trust & Estates department of a prominent New York State law firm.
Job Duties:
- Assist with all phases of estate and trust administration
- Prepare pleadings to file with courts to initiate estate proceedings and judicial settlement proceedings
- Monitor estate and trust accounts
- Prepare federal and NYS estate tax returns
- Prepare fiduciary income tax returns
- Marshalling and transfer of assets
- Efile documents in various counties
- Conduct investigations and prepare correspondence/documents for attorney review
- Communicate with IRS NYS and other tax authorities regarding notices
