This is an onsite position at Providence Alaska Childrens Hospital.
As our HIM Associate you will deliver exceptional customer service to patients healthcare professionals and customers while upholding the utmost confidentiality for all patients. Your daily tasks will involve preparing scanning and organizing medical record information to ensure the completion of health information and data. Your role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate and confidential health records.
To thrive in this position you will need to be detailoriented organized and passionate about handling sensitive information. Youll use your prior experience with navigating multiple systems to collect patient information and enter it into multiple computer systems. Youll use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to answer questions from patients as well as physicians and their staff.
Heres what you will experience working as an HIM Associate:
Prepping scanning indexing and quality control validation of all medical record documents and images.
Performs multiple computersystems entries in a competent and compliant manner to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of patient medical records.
Resolves errors related to electronic misfiles and system interface issues and troubleshoots office equipment mechanical issues as they arise.
Collaborates and coordinates with patients clinicians and other customers to provide professional level support and services for the retrieval and handling of medical records.
Complies with all applicable laws and guidelines related to patient confidentiality and the proper handling and disposal of patient medical records.
Promotes a positive team environment and utilizes critical thinking and problemsolving skills to achieve team objectives goals and assignments.
Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient / customer experience.
