Job Description
The Department of Pediatric and Neonatal Medicine is recruiting for Pediatric locums to cover gaps in our schedule.
The Timmins and District Hospital is a 225bed district hospital serving a local population of 41000 and a catchment area of 110000. Timmins is located in Northeastern Ontario andis a fully accredited referral and teaching hospital that offers a full range of Medical Surgical Critical Care Maternal/Child Long Term Care and Mental Health Services.
Details of Pediatric work:
Oncall coverage includes neonatal and pediatric inpatient care.The neonatal unit provides intensive care to newborns and has a 5bed capacity.Timmins and District Hospital manages babies with a gestational age of 34 weeks and above and serves as a Level 2A. Deliveries average 600 per year. Children requiring inpatient pediatric care are served by a fivebed inpatient unit.
Remuneration is $2131.29/day plus 42 of shadow billings.
Your traveling expenses of airfare and/or mileage local car rental and accommodations will be covered.
Position Requirements
Candidates must:
- have Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Pediatrics.
- be licensed to practice as a Pediatrician in the Province of Ontario.
- have Canadian Medical Protective Associate (CMPA) coverage.
- have an active OHIP billing number
- possess excellent clinical skills.
- have a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care.
** Approval based on successful credentialing for medical staff privileges.
