Clariants Catalyst division is seeking Chemistry Engineering and other STEM interns and coops at our Louisville Kentucky location. In this position you will focus on research and development in the areas of petrochemicals syngas and analytical chemistry. Our program aims to provide each of our participants with real industry hands on experience and an opportunity to work with some of the Chemical industries most talented individuals. We have multiple intern and copop opportunities for the coming Summer and Fall/Spring terms.


Responsibilities

Our Programs:

  • As an intern you will would have the opportunity to work with us during your off school schedule.
  • The Coop will be onsite throughout a full semester and can be aligned with your program/institution requirements.

What you will do:

  • Involved in the preparation and testing of catalysts mainly in industrial chemical reactions
  • Aid in troubleshooting of reactor test units and analytical equipment.
  • Performing various instrumental analysis calculation and report results.
  • Prepare and analyze catalyst samples using various techniques.
  • Organize compile and summarize test and analytical results.
  • Prepare reports and present results to supervisor and project team as needed.
  • Maintain a very organized and detailed laboratory notebook.

Requirements

  • You should be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a coop assignment pursuing a Bachelors Masters or PhD degree
  • Stem Program highly desired Chemical Engineering Chemistry or similar around science or mathmatics.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required
  • Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Seeking strong critical thinking and strong listening abilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is desired
  • Excellent communication presentation and leadership skills
  • Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired
