Summary
The J.R. Simplot Company is on a greenfield SAP S/4 HANA ERP global transformation journey to support our current business and provide a unified platform that will take us into the future. The SAP Functional Leads play a critical role in this transformation through designing deploying and improving the SAP products within Simplot. The Functional Leads provide leadership and mentorship to the Functional Analysts on the team; these include J.R. Simplot employees as well as on and/or offshore contracted resources. They help to ensure adherence to our design standards and collaboration across teams. The Functional Leads are directly engaged with representatives of the business to design system solutions and must have the ability to communicate technical solutions to nontechnical audiences. The Functional Leads are viewed as trusted advisors to our business counterparts in providing efficient and effective system solutions as well as contributing to business process design discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily standup meetings with a small agile development team in a quest to rapidly deploy new solutions on the S4 platform.
- Prioritize and assign work items to team members and drive completion of work items that conform to the documentation and testing standards that are established in the program.
- Drive the team utilization of agile methodologies for continuous delivery of solutions rapid deployment and validation of solutions components is a must.
- Lead the design configuration and testing for developed solutions and collaborate with agile team peers on the scope of the solution set in a cohesive end to end delivered solution.
- Deliver and present Prototype Solutions in anticipation of their current/future utilization.
- Document solutions and provide functional and technical presentations to peers as well as solution architects within the IT organization.
- Drive the continuous discovery of new solutions that will utilize the SAP Product Suite already procured by Simplot.
- Deliver solution design concepts that will transform current nonoptimized business processes to a broad set of stakeholders and senior leaders.
Typical Education
- Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S. from 4 year college or university
Relevant Experience
- 8 Years of proven experience as a lead SAP Functional Analyst or lead IT Business Analyst in relation to Record to Report processes and underlying SAP capabilities is required.
- 4 years of experience in implementing SAP Product Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) Cash Operations and Treasury Management.
- Experience with Ariba and Concur configuration setup and integration with SAP.
- Design setup test and deploy prototype and production Finance solutions and ensure that all the pieces work together seamlessly.
- Proven knowledge of the SAP Fiori elements and how to drive standardization and reutilization of elements in a quest to develop a common UX repository is preferred.
- S/4HANA experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of various integration patterns between SAP products and nonSAP Products and when to utilize these patterns when enabling a business process is preferred.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is required.
- Proven experience in a leadership capacity where the team delivered solutions utilizing an agile methodology is required.
- Excellent troubleshooting and verbal and written communication skills is required.
- Good understanding of standards guidelines and best practices to be used during development is required.
