About the role

Corebridge Institutional Investments Private Credit Group (PCG) invests on behalf of Corebridges Life & Retirement companies and an external client. PCG manages a $27 billion portfolio across several classes including Corporate Privates (CP) Infrastructure Asset Backed Securities (ABS) and Direct Lending. Corebridges Direct Lending team invest in high yielding shorter duration typically floating rate loans. The posted Senior Investment Analyst (SIA) position is for an early career investment analyst on the Direct Lending team. The analyst will be exposed to all aspects of the underwriting process and given the opportunity to develop fundamental Project and Infrastructure investing skills but will also have exposure to sponsor backed middle market lending. The main objective of Direct Lending team is to add value to our internal Corebridge Financial by effectively managing a portion of their capital. The Direct Lending SIA supported by senior team members will be is responsible for new investment recommendations and amendment and restructuring negotiations conducted using good judgment on credit structure and pricing with the goal of providing appropriate levels of protection and return for the risk taken.

In this Senior Investment Analyst role you will support Direct Lending deal teams in evaluating new transaction opportunities and monitoring a portfolio of existing loans. The analyst will be exposed to all aspects of the underwriting process and given the opportunity to develop fundamental credit investing skills. New investment recommendations and amendment and restructuring negotiations must be conducted using good judgment on credit structure and pricing with the goal of providing appropriate levels of protection and return for the risk taken.

The position will entail working with the Private Credit Group to:

• Make new investment recommendations and manage the Project and Infrastructure portfolio including reviewing periodic financial and compliance statements completing credit reviews analyzing amendment requests ensuring accurate monthly portfolio pricing and other duties as assigned.
• Assist with internal reporting and special projects as assigned.
  

This position is responsible for:

• Supporting senior team members with transaction due diligence including opportunity screening business and industry research financial modeling preparation of credit committee presentation materials and legal documentation review and negotiation.
• Management and monitoring of existing portfolio credits with a focus on reviewing financial statements and compliance reporting in order to collect and maintain portfolio data and to prepare and present periodic credit reviews.
• Participation in management presentations credit committee meetings and interactions with key counterparties such as investment bankers sponsors legal counsel and issuer management teams.

What we are looking for

• 2 years of relevant experience
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proactive team player with intellectual curiosity and a positive attitude
• Ability to take direction take ownership of tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines
• High ethical standards good judgment and flexibility in achieving goals
• Proficient in Excel; financial modeling and credit analysis skills are a plus
