Job Description

Job Title: Neuro Clinical Psychologist
Band:7
Hours:37.5 hours per week
Location: Wembley Greater London
Rate:Competitive to be discussed upon application

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Neuro Clinical Psychologist to join our esteemed NHS clients dynamic team based in Wembley Greater London. This position is available for an immediate start offering competitive rates.

Key Responsibilities:

The Neuropsychologist will conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments evaluating cognitive functions and identifying neurological conditions. They will develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address cognitive deficits and improve patients quality of life. Providing therapeutic interventions including cognitive rehabilitation and behavioural strategies is a core part of the role. The neuropsychologist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and effective discharge planning. Educating patients and their families about neurological conditions treatment plans and strategies for managing symptoms is essential. Maintaining accurate and uptodate patient records documenting progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary is crucial. Participation in team meetings case conferences and contributing to service development initiatives are expected. Providing supervision and support to junior staff and students as well as engaging in continuous professional development activities to stay current with best practices in neuropsychology are also important aspects of the role. Additionally conducting Autism Diagnostic InterviewRevised (ADIR) assessments will be part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Neuropsychology.
  • Full registration with the appropriate professional body.
  • Expertise in neuropsychological assessments and interventions.
  • Experience in conducting ADIR assessments.
  • A high level of clinical skills as evidenced by peer review and reports.
  • Evidence of incorporating core values of commitment trust integrity and kindness into their work with others.
  • Willingness to work flexibly across a range of clinic models venues and days of the week.
  • Good communication skills and level of IT literacy.
  • An interest to advance professionally as evidenced by attendance and contribution to reflective practice meetings reliability meetings and/or other CPD events within their professional clinical practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
