Job Description

Position Title:

Postdoc Research Associate Poultry Diagnostic Pathology

Appointment Type:

Post Doc/Trainee

Job Description:

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include receiving advanced training and becoming proficient in coordinating poultry diagnostic cases submissions in the Pathology Section of the Iowa State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. In addition to coordinating poultry cases the incumbent will be responsible for supporting research needs for the Poultry Team at the Department of Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent
  • Diplomate of American College of Veterinary Pathology or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in histopathology interpretation
  • Experience in veterinary diagnostic pathology
