Job Schedule: 4/10 Weekend Shift (Th Fr Sa Su)

Shift Differential: 10 Pay Differential

Job Description:

As a Manufacturing Assembly B (Intermediate Level) you will be responsible for contributing to the success of our Sensors Division performing production tasks for a wide variety of Dewar assemblies which may include skilled hand work and or utilizing automated production equipment. Work is performed in a clean lab that sometimes requires optical magnification. This is a first shift WEEKEND position with flexible start time.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete assigned manufacturing process steps for DEWAR assemblies and subassemblies for customer deliverables
  • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component preparation/installation hand soldering as needed on assembly units
  • Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications terms and documents
  • Understand and follow appropriate test equipment / safety procedures
  • Support group objectives for ontime delivery
  • Follow industry standard or practice for 6S
  • Work independently and with a team
  • Provide regular status reports on work in progress

Qualifications:

  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience with hand tools.
  • Experience with reading and following drawings and work instructions.
  • Experience in working individually and in a diverse and teamoriented environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Solder certification
  • Eager to learn new processes
  • Experience in an ESD/FOD and or clean room areas

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting at a workstation and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift to a minimum of 25 pounds at times
