Position Summary
A sewing Operator is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining the sewing equipment along with quality control fitting of fabric in frames and fulfillment duties.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Setup operate and run sewing machines upon written instructions provided
- Ensure each job is produced to customer specifications meeting internal and external deadlines
- Read and understand job tickets
- Follow all safety policies and regulations report any potential hazards near misses or accidents immediately.
- Perform routine maintenance on the machines
- Work with frames to fit fabric samples for quality control
- Fulfillment work and packing fabric and materials to be shipped out
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a sewingoperator
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team
- Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed
- Experience on Impulsa and Juki sewing machines is a plus
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such asmanufacturing sewing machinespresses and forklifts. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and see.
