Job Description
Position:High SchoolAcademy Teacher
The position starts in the 202526 academic year.
Job Summary:
The TK High School Academy supports students with credit deficiencies througha blended learning model of inperson and virtual instruction. As a TK Academy teacher you will meet each student where they are in their educational journey and facilitate learning in conjunction with the virtual program. Grading pacing and content are all provided through the software leaving your role as a dedicated teacher to supplementinstruction through oneonone and smallgroup delivery.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- Certified to teach secondary students.
- Hold aBA (English) endorsement preferred.
- Dual certification is preferred.
- Experience working with high school students with academic and/or behavioral challenges.
- Possess an understanding of virtual learning.
- Ability to work with other professionals in a collaborative manner.
- Ability to foster a positive classroom environment and build strong relationships with students and parents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students parents colleagues and administrators.
