Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead operational projects and drive critical deadlines at our expanding site in Claremont NH!
How will you make an impact
The Project Manager will facilitate and lead strategic initiatives for one or more area of production at Mikros Technologies (a Jabil Company). Provide management and guidance to multifunctional project teams. Manage and enhance customer relationships. Provide full accountability for production schedules project management and performance requirements for enterprise level projects.
What will you do
- Responsible for ensuring all of the production requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered understood and properly translated for
- Build team(s) to address the project goals and objectives
- Collaborate with customer (internal or external) from requirements gathering through product acceptance/ approval
- Align the project team to customer production needs by establishing milestones goals and objectives based on input from all functional areas and stakeholders within the project
- Review production schedules with functional project managers and project coordinators for efficient
- Provide guidance and motivation to project teams to successfully achieve production goals and corporate initiatives
- Communicate production objectives in terms of overall strategic business objectives
- Serve as interface between production and customers vendors internal stakeholders and project sponsor(s)
- Manage development of production plans with focus on achievement of project goals and corporate initiatives including project specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or metrics
- Responsible for recognizing productions Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and manage the work within scope quality time and cost constraints
- Drive production projects to completion in accordance with the goals set for delivery quantities and quality metrics.
- Coordinate the efforts of the team to develop an integrated production plan and risk analysis with action plans to mitigate the risks.
- Management of Resource capacity and time tracking for people and equipment allocated to the production projects.
- Participates in the financial management and analysis of costs for projects including Capital Expenditures Requests (CERs) travel training resources allocation and other project related costs
- Accountable for overall project success including cost schedule quality and scope management
- Report project status issues and implemented solutions as well as evaluations and assessments of the results
- Provide leaders with updates including greatest opportunities for improvement
- Recognize potential problem areas against the plan and identify and implement alternative solutions
- Identify best solutions to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks elimination of nonvalue added processes or complete reengineering of processes and systems)
- Provide key stakeholders with regular project performance status variances to plan and identification of corrective actions (if required)
- Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively making customer issues a priority
- Drive relevant concise and effective communication throughout the production group and from production toward the rest of the company
- Comply with and provide leadership toward the company safety and security policies
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
How will you get here
Education:
- Bachelors degree required in Supply Chain Management Engineering or related discipline
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years workrelated experience required in a supervisory/management role or an equivalent combination of education training and/or experience
- Minimum 2 years project management experience or related discipline
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment highly desired: Engineering Test Quality Planning Materials etc
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification desirable
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Ability to influence motivate and drive priority actions of others
- Demonstrated Leadership and Management capabilities
- Knowledge of organizations operating policies and procedures required
- Knowledge of organizations culture and guiding principles
- Prior experience in customer interface
- Strong operational and financial knowledge required
- Substantial knowledge of Jabil and demonstrated ability to leverage organization
- Consultative skills (ability to understand true customer needs)
- Good communications skills
- Distinctive problem solving leader
- Should have the following personal characteristics: strong leader professional hardcharging detailoriented reliable calm under fire creative with a cando attitude
- Automotive/ Medical background experience as required
- Proficiency in use of personal computers Microsoft Office products (Excel Word and PowerPoint) and email skills required
