Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Technician you will be responsible for contributing to the success of our Sensors Division working alongside our Production team. Additionally this role will be responsible for performing assembly and/or testing of electro optical and infrared products.
Essential Functions:
- Perform incoming functional test procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair systems by replacing faulty components/assemblies.
- Install software and firmware in accordance with instructions.
- Per procedure guidelines perform postmaintenance on tests.
- Prepare required service documentation in a timely fashion.
- Attend off site training courses and selfstudy as required to maintain competency and compliance with serviced units company policies and procedures.
- Interface with internal and external customers.
- Provide regular status reports on work in progress.
- Uphold safety requirements by wearing PPE and properly using work equipment in designated areas.
- Work against contractual deadlines to meet customer delivery dates.
- Access and utilize web based technical publications.
- Follow ESD FOD and Lasers procedures.
- Follow industry standard or practice for 6S.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience reading test procedures operating instructions drawings schematics wiring diagrams and specifications is preferred.
- Prior experience with computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Prior experience planning and staying organizedwith the ability to prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to work individually and in a diverse and teamoriented environment.
- Knowledge of infrared/optical/laser systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge and skills in troubleshootning down to the component level.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
- Analog and digital troubleshooting skills are peferred.
