12 MONTH POSITION:

Position Purpose: This position is responsible for providing complex support and daytoday assistance to administrators staff and students with regard to computer and network technological needs. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control; performs all other related work as required.

Work Year:Full YearDue to the necessity to complete some work during times when school is not in session the Technician will need to work at various times of the day.

Essential Functions:The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. position.

1. Oversees and installs and troubleshoots computer hardware issues throughout the district.
2. Oversees and installs and maintains network backbone and wiring necessary to interconnect computers throughout the district
   
   
3. Upgrades existing hardware with new components.
4. Manage and maintain Microsoft Servers.
5. Install Software applications and creates documentation for the procedure.
6. Work with students instructing on proper cabling techniques PC troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics.
7. Support employees in resolving problems with IT AV and communications systems
8. Record events problems and resolutions in the IT request database.
9. Assist in evaluation and testing of software / hardware in planning for future needs
10. Responsible for the configuration troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic communications systems including but not limited to district video display systems projection audio systems teleconferencing solutions.
11. Over and installs media equipment such as projectors speakers TVs video monitors and cameras working with district support personnel and approved contractors.
12. Perform routine preventative maintenance on AV systems and equipment (Replace bulbs clean filters & lenses make minor adjustments etc.
13. Provide inperson direct support for district staff using technology
14. Educate users on A/V best practices
15. Manage iOS devices through MDM solutions
16. Oversee manage and maintain inventory of chromebook devices through Google Admin Console
17. Manage application deployment to mobile devices
18. Maintain a clean and accurate inventory of technology items
19. Staff and student account maintenance.
20. Maintain and update the Districts Student Information System.
21. Export data from the Districts Student Information System.
22. Attend meetings as required
23. Other duties as may be assigned

Education Training and Experience:

Technical certifications such as Network or A certification preferred

Microsoft certifications such as MCSA MCP preferred

Bachelors degree

35 years of and experience in Windows Environment

35 years of Experience in Desktop Management (ex: Intune) TCP/IP File/Print Sharing Switches and Web based technologies

35 years of experience with a work order entry system and inventory system
