Job Description

Summary:
Ability to Layout PCBA of medium to High Density designs including setting of constraint manager to cover highspeed digital signal boards and highcurrent designs from start to release. From sketches or notes provided by engineering create detail drawings or layouts using CAD software. Create and update design files to facilitate manufacturing to incorporate feedback from Manufacturing engineering operation QA or PCBA suppliers. Work with engineers to find good compromises between design constraints and IPC standards as well as the ability to learn the language of electronic design including good electronic layout practices for proper placement and layout of typical designs. Methodical accurate and process oriented those are quality aspect that will be valued on this job in order to support clean documentation and covering ECN/ECR and any other process defined to manage technical data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and analyze engineering design schematics and supporting documents to plan for component placement and layout of PCB
Place and route designs quickly and accurately. Incorporating Scripts in relevant languages (TCL Perl or SKILL) increasing Productivity and usage of autorouter where needed
Work closely with the electrical engineers and mechanical engineers to develop boards and layout meeting the expected electrical and mechanical characteristics exercising considerable judgment in design and layout
Create and update schematic diagrams produce final documentation assembly and fabrication drawings and verifies completed work checking documentation outputs BOMs and CAM files
Create new part symbols and footprints to incorporate in the library assign part numbers locate second source components update and maintain component database
Efficiently rework PCB designs of various complexities
Release design documentation into our PLM/ERP system
Support CAD group to increase productivity of the entire design engineering team
Interact with external organizations to expand thruput in time of overload
Qualifications:
Drafting Certificate or Associates Degree in a related engineering field preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Some knowledge on electrical and electronic design is welcome
Experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design is highly preferred
Knowledge with CAD tools (Cadence or Altium) and IPC guidelines is highly preferred.
Creating new functions to automate time consuming and repetitive manual tasks in the entry and manipulation of CAD designs

$72600.00$96800.000Pay Transparency
