Job Description: Traveling Biomedical Equipment Technician I (Contract)
Location: Annapolis MD
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Traveling Biomedical Equipment Technician I to join our team on a contract basis in Annapolis MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation maintenance calibration and repair of biomedical equipment at various healthcare facilities within the region.
Responsibilities:
- Install inspect maintain calibrate and repair biomedical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing on equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions
- Order parts and supplies as needed
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
- Provide training and support to healthcare staff on equipment operation
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field preferred
- 12 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment systems and components
- Ability to work independently and travel to various locations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must Pass background and drug screen.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Certification from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) preferred
