Assignment: Teacher on Call ST.ELIAS COMMUNITY SCHOOL (SEC) Dakwkda / Haines Junction
Start Date: As soon as possible
Home to the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations people St. Elias Community School is one of 11 Yukon schools that have joined the newly established First Nation School Board (FNSB) in the Yukon. Southern Tutchone is the traditional language of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations people.

Qualifications and Experience
Please clearly demonstrate on your cover letter and resume how you meet the following qualifications and experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience working with school aged students is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain an authentic relationship with the local Yukon First Nation people community members community Elders and families promoting greater community involvement in schoolbased activities and educational programming;
- Eagerness to learn about and integrate the local Yukon First Nation culture & worldview and the language in the classroom;
- Able to follow and carry out instructions with little supervision and
- Communicates clearly and respectfully.
Conditions of Employment
- Have and maintain a RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check
