Advanced Professional Securityis seekingprofessional Armed Security Servicesto protect and preserve city assets promote positive customer service and provideeffective public interaction and supervisionof city buildings and facilities.Scope of Services:Qualified security personnel will be responsible for ensuring thesafety and security of city employees visitors and property. Responsibilities include:
- Protecting and preservingcity assets buildings and facilities.
- Promoting a safe and welcoming environmentfor city employees residents and visitors.
- Providing professional customer servicewhile interacting with the public.
- Supervising and monitoringCity of Centennial buildings and grounds.
- Presenting and enforcing acceptable public behaviorwithin city facilities.
- Conducting security screeningsof individuals entering city buildings as required.
- Screening for weapons and contraband(note: no magnetometers or screening devices are currently in use).
- Responding to incidents disturbances and security threatsprofessionally and effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must belicensed and certifiedto carry a firearm in the State of Colorado.
- Priorlaw enforcementpreferred.
- Strongconflict resolution and deescalation skills.
- Ability toenforce policies while maintaining professionalism and respect.
- Familiarity withpublic safety procedures emergency response and access control.
- Excellentverbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and conduct patrols as needed.
Job Type: Fulltime
Pay: $24.00 $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 40 per week
