POSITION:DRAFTING CHAPTER 74 VOCATIONAL ED. PROGRAM GRADES 912REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:This position is accountable for teaching and supervision of students in Drafting state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the department head.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)1.Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies.2.Responsible for the integration of the departments curriculum where appropriate.3.Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race color gender age religion national origin gender identity marital status sexual orientation disability or homelessness.4.Performance of other jobrelated duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:1. Massachusetts teachers approval (Chapter 74 in the Drafting Vocational Technical program or ability to achieve in one year from hire.2. Associates Degree or higher in related field3. SEI Endorsement4. Four years of recent fulltime experience in drafting or related field5. Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques.6. Strong knowledge of computer applications (AutoCAD SolidWorks Revit etc..7. Evidence of good human relations skills8. OSHA certifiedPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:1.Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs2.Ability to speak Albanian Arabic Nepali Portuguese Spanish Vietnamese or an African Language3.Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition4.SEI Endorsement WORK YEAR: 184 DaysSALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelors Degree.
