Job Title: General Sonographer
Location: Appleton WI
Schedule: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:30 PM 1st shift)
Hourly Rate: $38.00/hour shift differential
Position Summary:
The General Sonographer provides mobile ultrasound services primarily to nursing homes home care facilities prisons and processing sites. This is a mobile role involving frequent travel and independent operation of portable sonographic equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and process ultrasounds using portable sonographic equipment
- Transport and set up equipment onsite at patient locations
- Obtain diagnosticquality images and send them to a radiologist for interpretation
- Verify physician orders and patient identification before procedures
- Adhere strictly to patient safety protocols and documentation standards
- Communicate professionally with dispatch clinical teams and facilities
- Maintain vehicle and equipment in proper working condition
- Respond to urgent communication within 15 minutes
- Attend required meetings and training sessions
- Possible prison exam assignments
Candidate Requirements:
- Able to work independently with little to no direct supervision
- Basic computer and smartphone skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Pleasant phone manner and ability to communicate with patients and staff
- Willingness to undergo background checks drug screening and maintain annual TB screening
- Must comply with professional and ethical standards and company code of conduct
