York Maine: Situated beside the Atlantic Ocean on the Gulf of Maine York is a wellknown summer resort town. It is home to three 18hole golf clubs four sandy beaches and Mount Agamenticus. From south to north it is divided into York Village York Harbor York Beach and Cape Neddick. York has many historic landmarks and attractions including the Old Gaol Museum one of the oldest English public buildings in the United States. Overview: The School Principal serves as the educational leader of Village Elementary School (PreK to Grade 1. The Principal is responsible for creating a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters all students academic excellence socialemotional growth and character development. This role requires strong instructional leadership effective communication creative problemsolving abilities and collaborative partnerships with staff students families and the community.WEEK SCHEDULE Monday Friday; late evenings and weekends as necessaryWORK HOURS 40 minimum per week NUMBER OF MONTHS PER YEAR 12 260 days)REPORTS TO Superintendent of Schools
