***This position will be filled as an Analyst III or Analyst Senior depending on the candidates experience and qualifications***

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

A key business partner providing financial support to the senior leadership team within Cybersecurity. The individual will be involved in financial modeling annual/quarterly planning monthly results preparation internal reporting board materials and adhoc project support along with providing business case support to the business. Have both strong attention to detail and the ability to consider the big picture to drive strategic recommendations. You are highly analytical and a clear confident communicator.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly summary of actual financial performance against plan and current estimate including earnings capital spending and cash flow.
  • Own longterm forecast and financial model to inform strategic planning and provide insights to management
  • Exposure to analytic and forecasting methodologies for trend analysis
  • Participation in the creation of monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Lead and contribute to business case development of new strategic initiatives by driving collaboration between groups
  • Provide analytical decision support for new contract negotiations and existing contract renewals
  • Support the monthend close process with variance analysis and forecasting updates
  • Partner crossfunctionally to drive annual budgeting process strategic decisions and initiative prioritization
  • Generate monthly and quarterly performance and forecast reviews board meeting presentations and other financial review presentations
  • Prepare insightful analytics for cross functional leadership team
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing reporting processes and key metrics tracking
  • Support long range strategic planning
  • Build & create financial models and whatif analysis
  • Develop a strong understanding of company operations and financial processes through exposure to various levels of management
  • Ad hoc financial modeling and analysis
  • Develops complex financial models and analysis using advanced analytical techniques and financial systems
  • Provides input and influence on policies and procedures.
  • Conceptualizes solutions and develops alternatives to complex problems
  • Articulates complex and/or complicated issues with a high level of skill including listening and influence
  • Proven and thorough knowledge of business principles theories and concepts
  • Delivers highly effective presentations to all levels of the organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum experience and education required of the position

Analyst III:Bachelors degree in finance accounting economics engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in finance accounting or a related field is required ORin lieu of a degree 8 years of experience in finance accounting or a related field is required.

Analyst Sr:Bachelors degree in finance accounting economics engineering or related field and 6 years of experience in finance accounting or a related field is required ORin lieu of a degree 10 years of experience in finance accounting or a related field is required.

Minimum knowledge skills and abilities required of the position

  • Knowledge of utility industry and familiarity with general and Entergy financial and strategic processes.
  • Superior analytical critical thinking and quantitative skills.
  • Drive for results & high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to multitask & prioritize.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI a plus.
  • Highly proficient in advanced Excel with strong attention to detail required.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with internal stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • A selfstarter with a positive attitude and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment is required for this role.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and a track record of leveraging data for business impact is a plus.

Any certificates licenses etc. required for the position

CPA CMA or MBA is a plus
