Job Description
Location: New York NY
What youll be doing
- Contribute to the design creation and validation of new analytical frameworks for systematically extracting insight from unstructured raw and alternative data sets.
- Design and validate models that transform data into actionable insights
- Iterate quickly to test the additive impact of new data and research findings on alpha generation
- Analyze external alternative data sources and provide recommendations for integration and enrichment of existing data.
- Participate in corporate strategy initiatives which include advanced data quires and coordinating with management staff on other business management efforts.
- Advancedegree in data science statistics or computer science field
- CFA designation preferred
- High proficiency/expert levelpython SQL and statistical languages like R strongly preferred
- Ideally 3 5 years of experience in a data analyst related role where you applied the above educational skills (school level projects counts)
- Experience in a fastpaced environment with lots of innovation model development and iteration
- Experience testing and overall delivery of highly relevant models that will help investment professionals make informed decisions based on alternative data
- Experience working on a team tobuild alternative data asset
- Able to communicate and explain complicated topics clearly and concisely
- Ability to draw insight from unstructured data
- Comfortable working within a global team in various time zones
