Essential Functions:
- Manage the delivery of care to Assisted Living Residents in a compassionate and timely manner under the direction of the Nurse Team Leader or designee.
- Dispense routine daily medications both prescription and nonprescription.
- Observe Residents and report/document changes in their condition.
- Sign medication records and reorder medications according to policy and procedure.
- Provide first aid in emergency situations and report the condition to the Nurse Team Leader and/or physician; complete incident reports as needed.
- Assist Residents with activities of daily living (ADL) and encourage appropriate selfcare utilizing the concept of restorative nursing.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to Infection Control and safety regulations.
- Leads by example maintaining a professional work relationship with team members Residents Clients Members Patients and family members.
Qualifications:
- NJ State Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.
- Seasonal flu vaccine required.
- Knowledge of medical and pharmacological terminology.
- Strong clinical skills.
- Commitment to personcentered care.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking.
- Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Sensitivity to dementia care needs.
- Experience in caregiving hospice care or memory care is preferred.
