Bank/Casual SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Quidenham Norwich NR16 2NZ

Hourly rate: 12.37 13.22 per hour dependent on experience (plus 13 holiday pay)

Hours: Flexible / casual hours available

Aurora White House School and Aurora Eccles School:

Were currently looking for a Bank Teaching Assistants to join our team. The successful candidate will support our studentsas needed across thetwo schools.

What is bank/casual work

Our bank staff usually cover staff sickness holiday and busy periods and they are able to choose what days they want to work giving them a great deal of flexibility.

Part of the Aurora Group Aurora Eccles and White House schools in Quidenham Norwich provides day placements for students aged 6 to 16 years primarily with communication and interaction difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.

With small classes a maximum of 10 students and a minimum of 3 staff per class you can focus on the needs of each student. There is a full clinical team onsite to support at all times and you will have the support of an experienced and stable SLT.

The Role:

The purpose of the Teaching Assistant is to support the children with their learning and care whilst in school and other settings.As well as developing and delivering personalised learning you will work with colleagues to support pupils with their daily routines transitions and positive behaviour management.Atailored approach to the individual child ensures that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment. The Teaching Assistant will need to support the Class Teacher with the day to day running of the class.
