About Us
Novita provides early intervention rehabilitation therapy assistive technology and disability services to more than 4300 people living with disability as well as support for their families and carers.Our primary purpose is to enable kids young people and adults living with disability and their families to participate in the community to their full potential.

About the Role
As the Senior Support Workerlocated in Hackam you will provide ahigh level of service to people living with disability in a variety of service settings aimed at maximising the clientsinclusion independence decisionmaking and personal choice in our Community Programs this handson role you will enable the delivery of safe and effective individualised person centred supports for people living with disability to assist them to achieve their goals.
Supporting the team leader in the daytoday management of the community hub you will also ensure compliance requirements are met and provide client centred leadership within a team by modelling best practice service delivery focusing on coaching and mentoring other team members to develop their practise and the outcomes for clients.
This position may be offered as a 12 month contract or a permanent role. Further details will be discussed during an interview.
Skills And Experiences
About You
As a team player who enjoys communicating with a variety of people you will utilise your initiative and selfmotivation whilst demonstrating your clientcentred approach to service delivery.
Along with experience in supporting a client centred service you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Minimum Certificate III in Disability Community Services (or equivalent)
- Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) and training in; Assist with Medication Epilepsy & Midazolam Through their Eyes and Manual Handling
- Effective verbal and written communication between clients families staff and care givers
- Maintaining a strong client focus in all situations
- Promoting Novitas aims and objectives to all clients and the community at large
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record management and maintenance
- Interpreting and acting upon clients communication needs health care plans and mealtime guidelines and identifying and responding to individual health concerns and recording relevant observations in client diaries
- Administering prescribed medication on a needs basis to individual clients and accurately recording the administration of the prescribed medication in accordance with the Health Care Policy
- Work to best practice Work Health & Safety Standards

Remuneration Package and Benefits
Total remuneration package includes base salary annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15900 of your salary increasing your takehome pay by approximately $5000. Further salarypackaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses accommodation and venue hire private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
