Description

The laboratory of Dr. Grinberg is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our growing team investigating the basis of sleep dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases.

This role is part of a multidisciplinary effort to decipher how neurodegenerative processes impact the sleepwake system with the ultimate goal of developing effective therapeutic strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience or neuroanatomy and a passion for neuropathology. Working closely with neuropathologists neurologists psychiatrists and neuroscientists you will explore sleep and wakepromoting nuclei in human brain tissue using neuroanatomical neuropathological and molecular tools to generate biological insights with clinical relevance.

This position offers:

  • Advanced training in neuroanatomy histology quantitative human neuropathology and molecular technique
  • Opportunities to correlate brain pathology with antemortem clinical and imaging data.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in neuroscience neuroanatomy or a related field with a strong interest in neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Preferred experience in mammalian anatomy quantitative stereology and the integration of neuroanatomical and molecular approaches.
