DescriptionJob Summary:This position requires the candidate to monitor patients for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit through constant visual observation documenting patient activities throughout the study annotate on the EEG studies every 2 hours maintain camera placement communicate patient activities to physicians nurses and EEG Technologists.
The candidate will be responsible for learning to recognize seizure activity to be able to alert staff of patient needs.

How Youll Impact Patient Care:
Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Ensure patient is on camera.
- Document relevant information on computer and chart.
- Use Medical Records system to verify patient history and information.
- Communicate often with physicians nurses and clinical staff about patient activities.
- Maintain focus on patient movements and activities.
- Recognize seizure activity to alert staff and activate patient event alarm.
- Recognize troubleshoot and alert staff to computer issues.
- Document equipment and recording issues.
- Communicate with patients and families.
- Ensure patient safety protocols are being followed.
- Sign out to next shift by communicating any issues and concerns along with updated documentation.
What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
- Experience using computers required.
Nice To Have (Not Required)
- Oneyear experience in health care setting preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and comfort with technology.
- Ability to selfmotivate and stay focused on task.
