Job Description
Overview:
Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Providerto join our Medical Progressive CareUnit. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment providing highquality patient care in a leading academic medical center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care for acutely ill patients in the Medical ProgressiveCare Unit (MPCU) under the supervision of attending physicians.
- Perform clinical assessments develop treatment plans order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage acute and chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians nurses respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in daily rounds patient education and discharge planning.
- Assist with procedures as needed including line placements and other bedside interventions.
- Document patient encounters treatment plans and followups in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives clinical research and educational activities within the department.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Masters or Doctorate Science in Nursing Acute Care NP
- Current NCCPA certification For APRN: Acute Care NP
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a PA or APRNin the state of Maryland
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Previous experience as an APP in critical care intermediate care or acute carepreferred but not required
- Strong clinical decisionmaking communication and teamwork skills

Salary Range: Minimum53.15per hour Maximum82.38per hour.Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
