As a Learning & Development Specialist I youll lead the way in training and developing staff ensuring a strong knowledgeable team that provides exceptional service across campus.
What Youll Do:
Oversee onboarding and orientation ensuring new employees feel supported from day one.
Maintain and update training records ensuring compliance with ISU Dining and university policies.
Assist HR with recruitment needs helping managers fill entrylevel culinary positions.
Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and improve employee retention.
Support food safety and workplace compliance collaborating with managers to meet industry standards.
Train participants and assist in the development of course and seminar materials to enhance employee learning.

Example of Duties
Assesses instructional need.
Provides instruction to participants.
Prepares training materials.
Prepares maintains and operates audiovisual equipment computer equipment and software and other educational aides.
Solicits feedback from participants via surveys and other mechanisms to determine transference of knowledge and areas of improvement.
Tracks attendance of participants.
Level Guidelines
Individual contributor position with developing professional and/or technical skills working under immediate to general supervision.
Grasps professionallevel knowledge and concepts of field while working in a progressive learning mode.
Works on problems and issues of somewhat limited scope
Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data for which answers are available or can be obtained.
Responds to inquiries and issues escalating to manager or higher level workers as appropriate.
May lead projects of limited scope and complexity.
May provide guidance to students.
