Job Description
Who we are:
St. Charles Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who thrives in a fastpaced environment and enjoys providing urgent and emergency care to pets in need!
Our wellestablished fullservice hospital features seven exam rooms two surgical suites two treatment areas an isolation ward a large kennel area and a gated backyard. We are equipped with advanced tools including a CryoPen ultrasound laparoscopic equipment orthopedic instruments a therapy laser CO2 laser and a tono pen. Our practice sees a diverse caseload with 90 small animals and 10 exotics and we perform a variety of advanced surgical procedures including orthopedics (ACL pinning) thyroidectomies nephrectomies abdominal surgeries and eye surgeries.
Our emergency services provide care for both our clients and those referred from other clinics. The caseload can vary each night ensuring that no two shifts are the same. The overnight veterinarian will work with a highly skilled support team including two to three technicians per shift and a receptionist on weekends. Shifts may include 6 PM 7 AM weekend shifts such as Saturday 12 PM 8 PM or 8 PM 7 AM Sunday 8 AM 5 PM or 6 PM 7 AM and holiday coverage.
Located in St. Charles IL our practice is in a charming suburban area with easy access to Genevas unique shops and downtown St. Charles vibrant restaurant scene. The community hosts events throughout the year including the Scarecrow Festival Christmas parades Fourth of July celebrations art shows and the River Festival. Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy scenic walking and biking trails along the Fox River.
