Job Description
SIE is looking for a Safety Manager Rail/Transitto support various MTA C&D transit construction projects.This position will be responsible for supporting the client in auditing safety on the project.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring contractor and subcontractor compliance with contract specifications APP & SWPs and MTA C&D Policies and Procedures.
- Conducting safety audits of projects and generating reports with findings and photos
- Reviewing safety plans and submittals
- Reviewing incidents and incident reports
- Participating in project meetings
- Reviewing contractor schedules and payments
- Conducting constructability review
- Coordination with MTA and other stakeholders
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related field preferred
- 10 years of experience in safety management for infrastructure projects
- Experience with designbuild and designbidbuild projects
- Experience with MTA C&D (including NYCT LIRR MNR) Amtrak NJ Transit and PANYNJ
- Excellent communication skills and work ethic
- MNR Contractor Safety Training
- Site Safety Manager Course
- OSHA 30 (OSHA 500 desirable)
- CSP CHST or other formal safety certifications preferred
- NYCT Track Training
