Position Overview
Join our dynamic LP finance department at a leading nonprofit organization in the heart of New York Citys affordable housing sector. We specialize in financial management within the affordable housing industry. As part of our team youll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in providing quality housing solutions to communities in need.
As the temp to perm full time Junior Financial Analyst you will be integral to the success of our organizations mission in affordable housing development and community enhancement. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities including financial planning and analysis rent arrears collection and monthend closing process. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various projects that directly impact our communities and drive positive change across New York City.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics Real Estate Construction or related field.
- Accounting experience 13 Years with emphasis on monthly closing and compilation of Financial Statements preferably in a NonProfit environment.
- Resides in the TriState area with the flexibility to commute to the office 23 days as required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis methodologies.
- Capacity to work in a team setting and perform tasks/projects independently
- Familiarity with software applications such as Yardi and NAV preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Excel (pivot table and VLOOKUP must) Word and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
