The Therapy Manager is responsible for oversight of their designated therapy departments (IP Acute Outpatient or IP Rehabilitation). They directly supervise the Therapy Clinical supervisors/Lead therapists and/ or staff therapists. They may directly supervise other ancillary therapy staff such as Clinical Educator Recreational Coordinator and Scheduling/Staffing Coordinator/Supervisors which is dependent on the therapy department that is their designated responsibility. This position is primarily administrative with clinical involvement primarily based on mentoring and the needs of the department. It is expected that the Therapy Manager will use their professional judgment and adjust their hours between administrative and clinical roles according to demands relating to their performance responsibilities. The Therapy Manager reports to AVP of Medical Ancillary Services and plays an important role in interdisciplinary collaboration with Program Directors Physicians and Nursing leadership. The manager supports and assists the Therapy Director in development of programs in the Rehabilitation Continuum and maintains working relationships with Hospital leadership physicians nurses case managers social workers allied health professionals ancillary services and hospital support personnel.
