The purpose of the Fire and EMS Lab Instructor Advanced Life Support Paramedic position is to instruct and guide fire and emergency medical services Advanced Life Support and Paramedic students and firefighter students through the psychomotor skills introduction acquisition reinforcement mastery and evaluation stages in fire and emergency medical services education programs; provide simulation activities tutoring and remedial assistance to students provide feedback to program faculty regarding skill acquisition and mastery as well as to provide instructional resources required to meet statemandated instructortostudent ratios for fire and EMS program lab/practical skills and simulation. The Fire and EMS Lab Instructor Advanced Life Support Paramedic is also responsible for maintaining inventorying and replacing/resetting assigned equipment and lab/classroom spaces; the Fire and EMS Lab Instructor Advanced Life Support Paramedic as designated by the department/program head/chair may serve as a lead lab instructor/mentor to help guide and orient new lab instructors to the College division and department/programs policies procedures and expectations and perform other duties as assigned.
