Job Description
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Instrument Operator role joining a dedicated team at our new laboratory facility based in Liverpool. Reporting to the Instrumental Supervisor the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a team analyzing gold and silver in Global Commodities using a state of the art instrumental technique called Photon Assay.There is also a comprehensive onboarding program when joining Alfred H Knight International which involves all training associated with the role.
Shift Pattern: 2pm 10pm Monday to Friday

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Have the ability to work with minimum supervision
- High attention to detail
- Have the ability to problem solve in agreement with your line manager
- A team player working alongside others with positivity and respect
- Willingness to take full ownership of the role
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of manual dexterity
- Good time keeping
- Effective interpersonal skills
Required Competencies
- Computer skills using Microsoft software
- Able to carry out statistical data interpretation
Required Work Experience
- Experience of working in an Accredited Laboratory environment to ISO 17025:2017 standards would be advantageous.
- One year work experience in a testing laboratory is advantageous
- Understanding testing principles for instrumental technique such as spectroscopy spectrophotometry chromatography etc
- Familiar with Laboratory QMS and LIMS operation
