Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Sr Specialsit Tool Design Engineer to join our growing facility in Camden Arkansas.In this role the selected individual will design manufacturingtooling for the production of solid fuel rocket motors and warheads. This person will develop jigs fixtures lifting devices and semiautomated equipment to cast and assemble the final product.
Essential Functions:
- Design mechanical equipment using PTC Creo and Windchill
- Interface with production program management and safety to develop requirements and tooling needs
- Define existing equipment problems design repairs and modifications
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior design engineeringexperience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior design engineeringexperienceexperience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior design engineeringexperience
- 3years of experience in the design of tooling to support manufacturing
- 2 years of experience using a solid modeling program such as Unigraphics NX ProEngineer AutoCAD Inventor Catia CREOor Solid Works
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working in the defense industry is a plus
- Knowledge of air controls
