This position will report to the Superintendent within the assigned department.
What you will do:
- Perform all work in a safe and controlled manner adhering to safety and environmental policies
- Work safely to prevent onthejob injuries by following Nutrien Occupational Health Safety Administration Mining Health Safety Administration and Marine Securityguidelines
- Uses proper Personal Protection Equipment such as safety glasses gloves ear plugs face shields flash suits and personal environmental monitors
- Workas part of a team to complete assignments and minimize downtime
- Perform daily maintenance and overhauls on various types of equipment
- Perform daily and routine preventative maintenanceon equipment
- Repair various other types of static equipment including heat exchangers tanks screws elevators and boilers
- Work as a productive team member and support continuous improvement
- Crosstraining and working in all areas of the facility as required
- Perform work from elevated structures ladders scissor lifts boom lifts personnel basketsand confined spaces
- Complete mechanic progression training as required and within timelines
- Follow all safety rules and regulations as set forth by the Company
- Work at heights outdoors and around potentially hazardous chemicals
What you will bring:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; postsecondary courses and training are preferred
- Possess a high degree of integrity and ownership
- Ability to effectively communicate (both verbal & nonverbal) with a diverse group of people
- Ability to read understand and comply with standards policies and procedures
- Be a selfstarter and work with little supervision; willing to work overtime as required
- Possess troubleshooting and analytical ability
- Must be comfortable and physically capable of entering and working in a confined space
- Must be able to hear and understand audible alarms changes in noise levels of rotating equipment and portable radio communications
- Must be familiar with Microsofts Office Suite
- Solid understanding of maintenance practices and processes
- Experience operating mobile equipment to include forklifts man lifts carry deck cranes etc.
- Possess basic computer skills and knowledge
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting rate $31.48 $36.55per hour (plus available overtime).
Nutrien offers a skills based pay compensation program. Hourly rates can progresses based on OnJobTraining formal learning and observation of new skills. Hourly rates can progresses from starting rate of $30.53 $41.00 per hour over a specified time period.
