You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJob Summary: Provides key leadership and support to nurses principals and central office staff as it pertains to all facets of the area of nursing and actively coaches and supports nurses in the District. Responsible for advancing the wellbeing academic success and lifelong achievement and health of students. Facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety including a healthy environment; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation selfmanagement selfadvocacy and learning.
Job Duties:
Education and/or Experience: Minimum qualifications include a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from a National League of Nursing (NLN) accredited college or university and current registered nurse licensure from Board of Nursing to practice in the state of Iowa. Must possess current Health Care Provider Life Page 2 of 2 Support CPR/AED certification from the American Heart Association. Knowledge of professional standards such as Nurse Practice Act and other statutes. Current statement or credentials to obtain a School Nurse Statement of Professional Recognition from the Board of Educational Examiners. National Certified School Nurse (NCSN) is preferred. Previous pediatric nursing school health nursing or community health nursing experience highly desirable. Valid drivers license to operate personal insured motor vehicle between locations. Experience as a Sioux City Community School District School Nurse.

3. Demonstrates competence in planning and preparing for instruction.
4. Uses strategies to deliver instruction that meets the multiple learning needs of students. 5. Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning.
6. Demonstrates competence in classroom and resource management.
7. Engages in professional growth. 8. Fulfills professional responsibilities established by the school district.
