Job Description
Ore City Middle School is committed to supporting the academic social and emotional growth of all students. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Middle School Counselor to join our team and provide guidance support and resources to help students succeed.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide academic career and personal counseling to students.
Implement and support socialemotional learning (SEL) programs.
Assist students in goal setting conflict resolution and personal development.
Collaborate with teachers parents and administrators to address student needs.
Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.
Support crisis intervention and develop student support plans.
Monitor student progress and provide resources for academic success.
Promote a positive and inclusive school climate.
Ensure compliance with state and district counseling standards.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas School Counselor Certification (Required)
Masters degree in Counseling Education or a related field
Experience working with middle school students preferred
Strong communication problemsolving and organizational skills
Ability to build trusting relationships with students staff and families
