Job Description

Are you a hand on and practical problem solver with an interest in working in the field on a wide variety of process equipmentThis is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Sydney Water operating and maintaining our network based water quality monitoring instruments Chemical Dosing and Odour Control units.

What you will be doing:

You will be field based driving to various locations as required maintaining and operating chemical dosing and odour control units.This will involve:

  • Performing calibration of fieldbased instrumentation.
  • Performing initial breakdown response and maintenance
  • Assessing tasks and situations and prioritising and responding appropriately
  • Perform process and equipment monitoring using SCADA
  • Working with internal teams to set priorities and having input into weekly scheduling and monthly forecasting.

Who we are looking for:

You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a high paced operational team ideally in a mobile role.You are able to plan and prioritise work schedules and are a hands on problem solver with experience in the operation and maintenance of process equipment.You will also be committed to the improvement of our safety culture and efficiency outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical / electrical / instrumentation trade qualifications preferred but tertiary qualifications in engineering / science or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience in the water wastewater treatment or resource recovery or similar process or manufacturing industry.
  • Hold a current drivers licence
