Job Description
As a Lead Data Engineer at LumenData youwill be responsible for designing developing and maintaining our datainfrastructure. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensuredata accuracy consistency and high availability. Your expertise in SnowflakePython Data Warehousing dbt and Data Modeling will be crucial in driving ourdata initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture and Development:
- Design and implement scalable data architectures using Snowflake.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Python and dbt.
- Create and optimize data models to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Data Integration and Management:
- Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across various data sources.
- Implement data governance best practices.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and databases.
- Conduct performance tuning and query optimization for Snowflake and other databases.
- Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers.
- Lead data engineering projects and ensure timely delivery.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Snowflake Python Data Warehousing dbt and Data Modeling.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL tools.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
